REBECCA HENDRIX
COUPLES THERAPY
When your relationship feels stuck in the same painful patterns, it’s not a communication problem—it’s a deep seated pattern you haven’t been shown how to change.
I help couples interrupt the unconscious cycles driving conflict and disconnection—so you can rebuild trust, closeness, and emotional safety without years of going in circles.
With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in working with couples who are feeling disconnected, stuck, or on the brink—especially those who have tried therapy before and didn’t get the results they hoped for.
My approach integrates Imago Relationship Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to get underneath the surface of arguments and identify the deeper attachment patterns driving them. When those patterns shift, the relationship changes and connection deepens.
This is not open-ended, insight-only therapy.
Our work is focused, structured, and designed to help you:
Break repeating conflict cycles
Repair trust after disconnection or betrayal
Feel understood without escalating or shutting down
Rebuild a sense of partnership and emotional connection
Most of the couples I work with are thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who:
Care deeply about their relationship
Are tired of having the same argument in different forms
Want real change—not just temporary relief
Couples Intensives In Upstate NY/ Maine
For many high-functioning couples, time—not intention—is the primary barrier to meaningful change. Your relationship needs more than squeezed-in conversations between busy days.
These 3–5 day private intensives are designed to accelerate the work of therapy by creating a focused, uninterrupted environment where real shifts can occur. Instead of weekly sessions that can feel slow or fragmented, this immersive experience allows us to go deep—quickly and effectively
Using Imago Relationship Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we will:
Clarify the negative cycles driving conflict or disconnection
Understand the underlying attachment needs beneath those patterns
Build skills for repair, communication, and emotional responsiveness
Re-establish a sense of partnership, safety, and mutual respect
The intensive takes place in a private luxury cottage on the coast of Maine, providing a contained, distraction-free setting that supports both deep therapeutic work and meaningful downtime.
You’ll stay in a luxury cottage on the coast of Maine, surrounded by water, nature, and quiet beauty. Between sessions, you’ll have space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect—whether that’s walking along the ocean, hiking scenic trails, or sharing incredible local food.
This is more than therapy—it’s a reset for your relationship - a chance to slow down, soften defenses, and reconnect.
Optional Add-On: Ketamine-Assisted Couples Psychotherapy (KAP)
For couples interested in accelerating insight and emotional access, when clinically appropriate ketamine-assisted sessions can be integrated into the intensive. This approach can help reduce defensiveness, increase emotional openness, and support new perspectives when used intentionally within a structured therapeutic framework.
This offering is best suited for couples who are committed to growth, open to feedback, and ready to invest focused time and resources into their relationship.
